Intensive Care Unit Upgrade

The Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital (DGMAH) is one of Gauteng’s major tertiary healthcare centres and a teaching facility for Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. As a key regional hospital serving large surrounding communities, the need for a modernised and fully compliant Intensive Care Unit was essential to improving critical care capacity and supporting demanding clinical requirements.

Our team was appointed to deliver a complete upgrade of the existing Intensive Care Unit, transforming the space into a modern, efficient, and specification-driven critical care environment designed to meet current healthcare standards.

Project Description

This project involved the full internal refurbishment and reconstruction of the ICU, including architectural upgrades, specialist installations, and complete mechanical and electrical enhancements. The works were executed in close collaboration with the hospital, clinical teams, and professional consultants to ensure seamless integration of all medical and technical systems.
